As a privately owned marina, we place great importance on creating a clean, safe, and welcoming environment. Nature thrives here too, with plenty of wildlife enjoying the peaceful surroundings alongside our community of boaters.

About Us
Leicester Marina offers a peaceful mooring spot on the River Soar, just 4 miles from Leicester city centre, between the Thurmaston and Birstall Locks. Adjacent to the beautiful Watermead Country Park, it’s the perfect place to enjoy scenic walks, cycle routes, and birdwatching.
We pride ourselves on maintaining a friendly, high-quality marina with landscaped gardens, picnic areas, and BBQ facilities. With over 160 moorings available, we offer both short-term and long-term stays.
Surrounded by weeping willows, colourful flowerbeds, and home to friendly ducks and geese, the Marina offers a calm, welcoming atmosphere.
